AusLIST How to Apply

AusLIST

The process for Listing on AusLIST is predominantly done online through the AusLIST Application System.  Providers need to enter their organisation, course and location details into the AusLIST Application System.  The 5 step process is described below.

Prior to applying online, a Provider Declaration  PDF Document  (60.1 KB)  must be signed by a legally authorised officer of the institution and returned to DEEWR.  By signing the Declaration, institutions agree to deliver education offshore to a comparable standard as in Australia.  The Declaration provides overseas governments, parents and students with a clear statement of commitment by the institution to deliver high quality transnational education and/or training.

The Declaration also asks providers to nominate an Authorising Officer. The Authorising Officer is the person who will authorise members of staff to enter the required information into the AusLIST Application System and maintain that information for the institution.

The person/s who is responsible for entering information for the institution must register in the System.  As part of this process, the person/s registering must agree to the Terms and Conditions of Use  You are now leaving the DEST website  of the System. DEEWR confirms the person/s details with the Authorising Officer and activates the registration.

Registered users enter information into the system, including provider details, courses delivered offshore and the locations in which they are delivered.  Providers that are CRICOS registered can download provider and course information from PRISMS for inclusion on AusLIST.  Further information on this can be found in the User Guides on the Auslist Application System.

This is undertaken by the verification authority, and seeks to verify that a provider and their courses meet the relevant requirements for Listing on AusLIST.  Following the verification of a provider and their courses by the relevant verifying authority, DEEWR  undertakes an approval process.

When DEEWR determines that an eligible provider has met the approval criteria, DEEWR will notify the provider by email that their application has been approved, and ask the provider to:

  • check that the institution, course and location information is correct; and, if satisfied that it is correct;
  • select the information for Listing.

Listing on AusLIST will then be automatically activated.

Note that:

  • listing is for a two year period only.  In some circumstances, providers may be removed from AusLIST during this two year period.
